How to Translate Reddit From Spanish to German (Step-by-Step)

Website TranslationBilingual ReadingHow-ToSpanish to GermanReddit

Spanish-language content on Reddit is rich and worth reading. If German is your stronger reading language, the usual friction applies: copy the text into a translator and lose the layout, or read slower than you would like.

This guide shows a third option — translate the Spanish post in place, directly into German, with bilingual translation. The Spanish stays visible and the German meaning appears right beside it, so you can read the meaning quickly and still check the original for any word, name, or phrase.

Demo note: the screenshots below are built in a real Reddit layout to show exactly how BothLang displays a bilingual page — the Spanish paragraph on top and the translated German directly beneath, with a hand-drawn arrow pointing at the translation. The workflow is identical on any post because BothLang works on whatever page you are viewing.

What you need

  • BothLang installed in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox — see the download page.
  • The extension pinned to your toolbar.
  • A Spanish-language post open in a tab.

Step 1 — Open the Spanish post

Open the Spanish piece you want to read.

Step 2 — Set German as your target

Click the BothLang icon. Set Translate into to German and Page display to Bilingual.

Step 3 — Translate the page

Click Translate Now. BothLang places a German translation directly beneath each Spanish paragraph, leaving the Spanish intact. A hand-drawn arrow marks the first translated paragraph.
